Here’s to the Boy Mamas

Motherhood

Do not hit him with your sword.” Here’s to the boy mamas that wipe faces and hands on repeat all day long. Here’s to the boy mamas that turn hiking trips into superhero adventures that consist of looking for clues to catch the bad guys.

Here’s to the boy mamas that know they will miss this one day.

Here’s to the boy mamas that are raising boys who love Jesus and follow Him. Here’s to the boy mamas that are discipling their sons while teaching them to make disciples who make disciples. Here’s to the boy mamas that act out David and Goliath, being the giant “just one more time.”  Here’s to the boy mamas that are teaching their sons to love their neighbors, no matter how different they may be. Here’s to the boy mamas who are raising sons that will help the orphan, the widow, and the foreigner. Here’s to the boy mamas praying for years for the wives that God has for their sons. Here’s to the boy mamas that are teaching their sons to pray, and have faith the God will answer the big prayers. Boy mamas, may we never forget the honor that it is to love our little fellas. May we remember that the days may be long, but the years really are short. May we embrace the great responsibility that God has given us to raise men that will lead their families and the world to Jesus. Here’s to the boy mamas.
